This Firm-Fixed Price construction contract aims to improve the electrical infrastructure at the North Little Rock VA Medical Center by addressing capacity deficiencies, aged equipment, and physical security concerns related to medium-voltage cables and transformers. The project requires the contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, expertise, administration, supervision, and transportation.

  • Installation of four (4) new sectionalizer cabinets in manholes.
  • Replacement of existing 13.8kV splices in manholes with new, in-kind devices.

  • Structural repairs at manholes and transformers, including concrete crack and spall repair, cleaning, coating, and mortar joint repointing.

  • All electrical equipment must be grounded per current National Electric Code standards, and SCADA integration for new sectionalizers is required.
  • Work involves general construction, demolition, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, radiation protection, fire protection, and telecommunication items.

Contract Details

  • Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price construction contract.
  • Estimated Value: Between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
  • Period of Performance: 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

Work hours for power disconnection are limited to Saturdays (7 AM) to Sundays (7 PM), with temporary power provided by generators for mission-critical buildings during outages.
