Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the "Project 558-22-152 Boiler Replacement Project" at the Durham VA Medical Center (VAMC). The estimated magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.

• The core of the work involves boiler replacement as detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW), Project Drawings, and Specifications.

• The work will be performed in an occupied healthcare facility operating 24 hours a day, requiring careful phasing to minimize disruption.

• Construction is to be performed during the VA working 1st shift (7AM-3:30PM), Monday-Friday. Utility work in parking lots will be during the 2nd shift (3:00PM – 11:30PM).

• The contract type is contemplated to be Firm-Fixed-Price.

• The period of performance is 547 calendar days after notice to proceed.

• Bids are due by 9:00 AM ET on June 12, 2026.

• A public bid opening will be held on June 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET.
