Quality Assurance & Deliverables
The contractor is responsible for all inspection requirements. The Quality Inspection System must comply with MIL-I-45208 or ISO 9001 and NCSL Z540.3 or ISO 10012. A written Quality Inspection and Test Plan (CDRL A001) requires Government approval. First Article Testing/Inspection is mandatory, requiring Government approval of the procedure (CDRL A002) and the final report (CDRL A003) before production. This includes visual/dimensional inspection and acceptance testing per Drawing RE-C49502. Production Lot Testing/Inspection also requires visual/dimensional inspection, acceptance testing, and submission of a report (CDRL A004) with Objective Quality Evidence Data (OQEDs) for Government approval prior to shipment. OQEDs include Certified Mill/Industrial Lab Analysis, Certificate of Compliance, Visual/Dimensional Reports, and Mercury Exclusion Certification. Configuration Control must follow MIL-STD-973, Paragraph 5.4.8. Packaging shall be in accordance with MIL-STD 2073.
