Scope of Work
Contractors will be responsible for the fabrication of orthotic appliances strictly conforming to VA prescriptions, utilizing VA-provided A-Codes and/or L-Codes. The scope includes custom orthotics, braces, diabetic shoes, inserts, elastic supports, compression garments, and repair services. All products must be commercial items, with no unauthorized component additions or prescription alterations. Services will be provided at contractor facilities, which must be accredited by ABC or BOC.
Key Requirements
Vendors must employ full-time, ABC or BOC certified Orthotists in good standing at each service location. Appliances must meet VA physician prescriptions, be free of defects, and comply with Joint Commission (TJC) and ABC/BOC standards. A minimum 90-day warranty against defective material and workmanship is required. Contractors must adhere to federal laws regarding patient confidentiality (Privacy Act, HIPAA) and provide immediate notification for appliance recalls. Contract Details
This acquisition anticipates the establishment of multiple BPAs with an authorized Ceiling Limit of $7,000,000.00 over a 5-year ordering period. Individual BPA Orders are estimated at $10,000.00. The solicitation incorporates FAR clauses 52.212-1, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, VAAR clauses, and the recently added clause 52.222-90, "Addressing DEI Discrimination by Federal Contractors."
Submission & Evaluation
