Quick Summary
The Department of the Air Force is soliciting proposals for the Azimuth Gearbox Assembly Procurement for the critical GLOBUS-X Band radar system. This acquisition aims to procure two (2) azimuth gearbox spares to mitigate the risk of catastrophic failure of aging units. The government intends to award a single Definitive Firm Fixed Price Contract. Proposals are due April 23, 2026, at 04:00 PM local time.
Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and delivery of two (2) Azimuth Gearboxes. The gearboxes must be direct form, fit, and function replacements, adhering to specific mechanical and electrical specifications (e.g., AZ Gear Reducer Graham Sesia P/N QPP036M-U2-280). Required testing includes pressure testing and a 24-hour No Load Break-In Performance Test. All created data must be provided to the Government with unlimited data rights. Packaging and marking must comply with military standards (MIL-STD-2073-1, MIL-STD-129, ISPM No. 15).
