Scope of Work
This solicitation requires comprehensive A-E services for seismic evaluations of existing USFWS buildings across the nation. The primary objective is to identify, quantify, and prioritize mitigation of seismically deficient buildings to reduce risk and ensure continued performance of essential functions. Services include:
- Tier 1 Screening: Initial assessment to identify potential seismic deficiencies.
- Tier 2 Evaluation: Detailed analysis using simplified methods, including structural, nonstructural, and foundation seismic hazards, and geologic seismic site-hazards.
- Conceptual Mitigation: Development of conceptual seismic mitigation measures and rough order-of-magnitude cost estimations.
- Reporting: Production of seismic evaluation reports.
- Additional Services: The government may also request Title I (project appraisal/conceptual design), Title II (final design), or Title III (construction management) A/E seismic engineering services.
- Deliverables: Completed checklists, quick check calculations, recommendations for follow-up actions (Tier 1), and seismic evaluation reports (Tier 2). All deliverables must be electronic in PDF format.
