Scope of Work
This requirement involves two primary maintenance tasks:
- FM-200 Fire Suppression System: Annual inspection and testing of the FM-200 systems in the Engine Room, Generator Room, and Emergency Generator Room. This includes solenoid valve removal, fire panel verification, ventilation system checks, pressure switch simulation, compressed gas cylinder weight/pressure checks, and replenishment of all three primary and secondary systems to required cylinder weight. A certified Tech Rep from Chemetron Fire Systems is required.
- Gaylord Hood Ventilation System: Cleaning and inspection of the interior of the Galley's Gaylord Hood supply and exhaust ventilation system. This also includes recertification of the associated fixed fire extinguishing system per manufacturer requirements and TP 8057. Photographic documentation of ducting interiors (before and after cleaning) is required.
All work will include post-repair operational testing in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector and submission of a Contractor Furnished Report (CFR) for discrepancies.
