Scope of Work
The contractor shall provide comprehensive maintenance services, including:
- FM-200 Fixed Fire Suppression System: Annual inspection and testing of the FM-200 systems in the Engine Room, Generator Room, and Emergency Generator Room. This includes solenoid valve removal, fire panel verification, ventilation system checks, FM-200 release station operation, pre-discharge timing, siren/bell/strobe activation, ventilation system shutdown, MCMS shutdown indication, alarm panel/HMI/MCMS activation, pressure switch simulation, and CFR submission for discrepancies. Inspection and testing of compressed gas cylinders for compliance with CFR Title 49, Section 173.34, including weight and pressure checks, and replenishment of all three primary and secondary systems to required cylinder weight. A certified Tech Rep from Chemetron Fire Systems is required.
- Gaylord Hood Ventilation System: Cleaning and inspection of the interior of the Galley's Gaylord Hood supply and exhaust ventilation system. This involves initial operational testing, photographic documentation before and after cleaning, cleaning approximately 15 linear feet of ducting per SFLC Std Spec 5100, and recertifying the fixed fire extinguishing system per manufacturer requirements and TP 8057.
- General Requirements: Furnish and install protective coverings, coordinate all test procedures and safety precautions with the COR, and conduct post-repair operational tests in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector.
