Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This document outlines the requirements for two distinct maintenance tasks: annual inspection and testing of FM-200 fire suppression systems and cleaning and inspection of the Galley's Gaylord Hood ventilation system.

FM-200 Fire Suppression System:

• Annual inspection and testing of FM-200 systems in the Engine Room (3-27-0-E), Generator Room (3-36-0-E), and Emergency Generator Room (1-10-0-E).
• Tasks include solenoid valve removal, fire panel verification, ventilation system checks, FM-200 release station operation, pre-discharge timing, siren/bell/strobe activation verification, ventilation system shutdown, MCMS shutdown indication, alarm panel/HMI/MCMS activation indication, pressure switch simulation, and CFR submission for discrepancies.
• Inspection and testing of compressed gas cylinders for compliance with CFR Title 49, Section 173.34, including weight and pressure checks.
• Replenishment of all three primary and secondary systems to required cylinder weight.
• Post-repair operational testing in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector.

Gaylord Hood Ventilation System:

• Cleaning and inspection of the interior of the Galley's Gaylord Hood supply and exhaust ventilation system.

• Recertification of the fixed fire extinguishing system associated with the Gaylord Hood.

• Tasks include initial operational testing, photographic documentation of ducting interiors before and after cleaning, cleaning approximately 15 linear feet of ducting per SFLC Std Spec 5100, and recertifying the fire extinguishing system per manufacturer requirements and TP 8057.

• Post-repair operational testing in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector.

• Service to be completed between April 8th and 9th, 2026.

• Services will be conducted at the unit's home port: 100 MacArthur Causeway, Miami, FL 33139.

• Contractor shall provide a certified Tech Rep for the FM-200 system, representing Chemetron Fire Systems.

• Contractor shall furnish and install protective coverings to protect non-affected areas.

• Contractor shall handle interferences as per SFLC Std Spec 0000.

• Coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) is required for testing procedures and notification (48 hours written notice for ventilation cleaning).

• Strict adherence to safety precautions for FM-200 system handling is required due to its hazardous nature.

• Submission of a Contractor Furnished Report (CFR) is required for all discrepancies and upon completion of work.

• Inspect and test the FM-200 Fixed Fire Suppression System in the Engine Room (3-36-0-E), Generator Room (3-36-0-E), and Emergency Generator Room (1-10-0-E).

• Provide a certified Tech Rep from Chemetron Fire Systems familiar with the FM-200 system to assist with inspection, repair, and reassembly.

• Furnish and install protective coverings for non-affected vessel components and spaces.

• Perform a complete annual inspection of primary and secondary FM-200 systems.

• Test solenoid pilot valves, fire panel operation, ventilation systems, sirens, bells, strobe lights, and associated displays.

• Simulate FM-200 pressure switch activation.

• Inspect and test compressed gas cylinders for compliance with CFR Title 49, Section 173.34, including weight and pressure checks.

• Replenish all three primary and secondary systems to required cylinder weight.

• Conduct post-repair operational tests in the presence of a Coast Guard Inspector.

• Submit a CFR for any and all discrepancies found during inspection and testing.

• Renew all applicable hoses provided by the unit.

• Ensure all disturbed, used, repaired, altered, or installed items are in satisfactory operating condition post-repair.

• Service to be completed between March 20 and March 30, 2026.

• Conducted at the unit's home port: 100 MacArthur Causeway Miami, FL 33139.

• Contractor shall coordinate all test procedures, safety precautions, and cutter safety checklists with the COR prior to work.

• Warning: Inhalation of FM-200 concentrations can be hazardous.

• Caution: Failure to remove solenoids at each tank will result in system activation.

• Government-furnished property: None.

• Known interferences include wiring, mounting brackets, and machinery. Coast Guard personnel will operate shipboard machinery.
