Scope of Work
The contractor will perform comprehensive testing and preventive maintenance on the electrical distribution system, including transformers (500KVA or larger), dry type transformers, switchgears, switchboards, distribution panels, and motor control centers. Key tasks include:
- Cleaning, inspection for overheating/damage, and lubrication of moving parts.
- Testing circuit breakers, ground fault protection devices, and ground resistance.
- Infrared scanning to identify hot spots while the system is energized.
- Calibrating and maintaining adjustable protective relays.
- Full testing for all breakers rated above 200 Amps.
- Providing a complete written report (3 hard copies and 1 CD-ROM) within 14 days of completion, detailing work performed, equipment, test data, and recommendations.
- Coordinating with American Electric Power (AEP) for main feed disconnection/reconnection.
- Work must be performed during non-business hours (7:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Monday-Friday).
