• Questions Close Date: The deadline for submitting questions has been extended from April 6, 2026, to April 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM EST.

• Solicitation Close Date: The closing date for the solicitation has been extended from April 9, 2026, to April 15, 2062, at 2:00 PM EST.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This solicitation is for the OR Intercom Replacement project at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center in Bay Pines, Florida. The Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System requires the removal and disposal of the old intercom system and the installation of a new Zenitel ICX Intelligent Communications System.

• Removal and disposal of the existing intercom system.

• Installation of a Zenitel ICX Intelligent Communications System (or equivalent).

• System to include three separate zones with forty-two locations, ten handheld/phone stations, thirty-three wall stations, and one server.

• Use of CAT6A cabling.

• Restoration of the area, including painting and drywall repairs to match existing conditions.

• Penetrations must be fire caulked, and abandoned raceways demoed back to the source.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The C.W. Young VAMC in Bay Pines, Florida requires the installation of an IP Intercom System.

• Removal and disposal of the existing intercom system, including all conductors and abandoned raceways.

• Fire caulking and sealing of all penetrations and holes created during the demo.

• Installation of a Zenitel ICX Intelligent Communications System (or equivalent) with specific station types (handheld/phone, wall stations) and a server.

• Use of CAT6A cabling.

• Repair and patching of any drywall damage resulting from the installation to return rooms to their original condition.

• Painting to match existing room colors.

• Furnishing all labor, materials, employee training, services, insurance, and equipment.

• Professional quality, technical accuracy, and timely completion of work.

• Restoration of the area to its original condition.

• For "equal or better" products, a specification sheet must be provided.

• All debris resulting from the project must be removed and disposed of.

• Place of Performance: C.W. Young VAMC, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, Florida 33744.

• Period of Performance: 120 Calendar Days from the contract award date.

• Construction Hours: Limited to after Surgical and Imaging hours (7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday).

• Directions accepted only from the Contracting Officer (CO) or Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

• Completed work requires approval and sign-off by the COR after final inspection, training of local maintenance staff, and provision of warranty and operating manuals.
