Quick Summary

The 156th Wing at Muñiz Air National Guard Base, Carolina, Puerto Rico, is soliciting quotes for a Fiber Optic Infrastructure Rehoming Project. This effort involves relocating existing fiber optic infrastructure and establishing new primary and redundant pathways for a new Communications Squadron (CS) facility. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside acquisition, issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).

Scope of Work

The project's primary objective is to relocate the 156th Wing's network core node from a condemned Building 5 to a newly constructed CS facility. The contractor will be responsible for engineering, installing, terminating, and testing new and augmented fiber optic infrastructure to connect the new CS facility to key base buildings. This includes installing 12-strand single-mode fiber optic cables for primary connections and physically diverse 12-strand and 72-strand single-mode fiber optic backbone cables for redundant connections, ensuring a minimum 40-foot separation from primary pathways. All work must comply with TIA/EIA standards, and the contractor must provide all necessary personnel, labor, equipment, tools, and materials.
