Scope of Work
The primary scope involves the loading and hauling of approximately 2500-3500 tons/cubic yards of Government-Furnished MAG ABC aggregate from the Willow Work Center stockpile to National Forest System Road (NFSR) 373 (Thumb Butte Road). This requires dump trucks, a loader, and a vibratory smooth drum roller, all with operators. The aggregate material must meet M.A.G. ABC specifications, with asphalt millings preferred as a substitute surface course.
An optional bid item includes the NFSR 360 Cattle Guard Replacement. This task entails removing an existing cattle guard, installing new Government-Furnished concrete bases, steel grids, wings, and re-wiring the fence, along with new warning signs and object markers. A water tender with operator is also an option to support aggregate work.
The Government will furnish the aggregate material for NFSR 373 and all cattle guard components for NFSR 360, along with roadbed preparation and grading activities for NFSR 373. The contractor is responsible for all other necessary supervision, equipment, labor, and materials.
