Scope of Work

- Testing & Certification: Mandatory Ultrasonic Inspection on starting material (QQ-N-286 with diameter/parallel surface of 4 inches or greater), Dye Penetrant Inspection, and quantitative chemical/mechanical analysis. Slow Strain Rate Tensile Tests must be performed by approved laboratories.
- Thread Inspection: All threads must be inspected per FED-STD-H28 series (System 21 or 22 as applicable), with internal threads formed by cutting only.

Material certifications must be positive, unqualified, and submitted via WAWF to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (Ship to: N50286, Inspect by: N39040, Accept by: N39040).
- Configuration Control: The contractor must maintain total equipment baseline configuration and submit Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for Class I or II changes.
