Scope of Work
This Request for Quotation (RFQ) seeks a contractor to remove and dispose of the existing exterior HVAC condenser (HP-3) and interior fan coil (F-1) unit, including the thermostat, that serves the Environmental Education Classroom W110 and adjacent rooms. The scope includes:
- Installation of a new, fully functional, manufacturer-warrantable HVAC system.
- Two Alternates for Base Bid:
- Alternate 1: HVAC unit with SEER 16 rating or better, 10-year manufacturer's warranty on the unit, variable speed compressor.
- Alternate 2: HVAC unit with SEER 17 rating or higher, 10-year manufacturer's warranty on the compressor.
- Both alternates require a programmable digital thermostat.
- Contractor must be manufacturer certified for installation.
- Responsibility for all utility connections (water, electrical, drain, controls, ductwork) and modifications.
- Demonstration and training on new equipment, plus closeout documents.
- Provision of a list of five companies within a 25-mile radius certified to maintain the installed equipment.
