Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for manufacturing Studs in accordance with Hellan Strainer Company Drawing 1471, PieceC, Part Number ZH10815F20LV1. The material required is ASTM-A193, Grade B16. Key requirements include:
- Liquid Penetrant Inspection or Magnetic Particle Inspection.
- Strict adherence to thread inspection requirements (FED-STD-H28 series).
- Providing a Certificate of Compliance for SPECIAL EMPHASIS material.
- Maintaining total equipment baseline configuration and submitting Waivers/Deviations or Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for approval.
- Ensuring materials are mercury-free.
- Compliance with MIL-STD 2073 for packaging.
Quality Assurance & Submission
This contract mandates a robust quality system, either ISO-9001 (with ISO-10012/ANSI-Z540.3/ISO-17025 calibration) or MIL-I-45208 (with MIL-STD-45662 calibration). Government Quality Assurance (GQA) will be performed at the source by a DCMA QAR. Comprehensive material certification, chemical and mechanical analysis, and full traceability are critical. Certification data must be submitted via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (DODAAC N50286) for review and acceptance, with email notification to PORT_PTNH_WAWF_NOTIFICATION@NAVY.MIL. No material is to be shipped prior to acceptance.
