Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force is soliciting proposals for Vehicle Maintenance (VM) uniform lease and laundering services for the 6th Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS) at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity.

Scope of Work

The contractor will provide a full-service uniform rental and laundering program for approximately 25 VM technicians. This includes supplying 7 sets of durable, dark blue, three-piece work uniforms (shirt, pant, jacket) per technician, comparable in quality to Carhartt and Dickies brands. Additionally, at least 50 red shop rags are required monthly. The specific color of shop towels is not critical; durability is the primary factor. A 4-6 week delivery timeframe for uniforms is acceptable, provided no embroidery or special customization is required.

Services encompass professional laundering, pickup, cleaning, delivery, and necessary repairs (mending tears, replacing buttons/zippers). Damaged or excessively worn garments must be replaced at no additional cost, with contractor-damaged or lost items replaced within 30 days. The program requires inventory management, onsite measurements for personnel (within 10 business days of award, 14 days for new hires), and delivery of new garments within 30-60 days. Industrial laundry carts must be provided, and a flexible pickup/delivery schedule, typically Wednesdays between 0900 and 1400, must be established. Contractor personnel must comply with base security requirements, including background checks. The contractor must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including environmental protection and health and safety standards.
