The IHS, specifically the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS), requires continued claims processing services. The network server at CCHCF handles subscriber and dependent coverage for claims status, submission of 837 claims, and inquiry/correction of pending claims. The contractor will provide full preventive maintenance and network server services to ensure continuous operations and support third-party billing collections.

Key Requirements

The contractor shall provide full network services for IT delivery to CCHCF, including:

  • Preventive Maintenance: Full preventive maintenance for the existing Internet Server for 837 claims processing.
  • Network Services: Maintain full network services, limit downtime, and provide training to CCHCF users.
  • Claims Processing Support: Facilitate patient access, verify multiple commercial and government payers (Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Private Insurance), identify additional billable coverage, and provide electronic claims submission.
  • Reporting & Correction: Generate 277 and 999 reports, offer a dashboard for private insurance rejections, run denial reports, and enable claims correction and resubmission.
  • FISS/DDE: Securely connect to Medicare Direct Data Entry (DDE), support multiple submitted IDs, provide visibility to Medicare claim submissions, and enable online claim corrections and eligibility verification.
  • Contractor Qualifications: Possess basic knowledge, skills, and abilities in network services, be fully HIPAA compliant, and define all licenses and relevant documents. Compliance with the Privacy Act and CFR 42 Part 2 regarding patient records is also required.
