• Scope of Interest: The RFI seeks responses for complete system solutions. While sub-system level information is accepted, it is secondary to complete system solutions and would be discussed separately. Formal White Papers are not required for this information.
• Technical Data Package (TDP): The DAS 2.1 or 3.0 TDP will not be provided. However, the DAS 2.1 ICD and top-level drawing, and the DAS 3.0 Pallet Control Module (PCM) ICD are available upon request.
• White Paper Submission: If a vendor has multiple solutions, they should submit a single white paper if both solutions can fit within the 10-page limit.
• DAS 2.1 Specifications: The available specifications for the pallet (length, width, height, weight, target COB), rack dimensions, power, and interfaces/locations are available upon request, along with the DAS 2.1 ICD and top-level drawing.

Request for Information (RFI)

This RFI seeks market research to identify potential sources capable of designing, developing, and manufacturing an adaptable and affordable Family of Affordable Mass Missiles (FAMM-BAR). The goal is to gather information on industry's ability to perform these tasks affordably and expeditiously for the U.S. Air Force and Foreign Military Sales.

• Objective: Develop a single, common, air-to-surface munition that is affordable, adaptable, and has significant standoff range.

• Deployment Methods: Primary via Palletized (cargo aircraft); secondary via Lugged (fighter/additional aircraft).

• Service Adaptability: Information requested on delivery from air-to-surface and surface-to-surface for Army and Navy systems (for information gathering only).

• Performance Attributes:

  • Range: ≥ 1000 NM
  • Speed: ≥ .7 M
  • Target Set: Slow moving maritime
  • Mid-course navigation: Yes
  • Manufacturing Rate Per Vendor: ≥ 1,000 AUR per year

• The potential procurement objective is to produce an inventory for 5 years, with annual production orders ranging from 1000-2000 units per year.

• Responses should consider meeting criteria for an Other Transaction Authority Agreement (10 U.S.C. § 4022).
