Quick Summary
The Department of the Army is conducting market research through a Request for Information (RFI) to identify sources capable of integrating Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS) Kits onto either the 1-ton Light Tactical Trailer Heavy Chassis (LTT-HC) or the 2.5-ton M200A1 trailer. This RFI, Amendment 1, addresses industry questions and extends the response deadline. Responses are due May 13, 2026, at 3:30 PM EST.
Scope of Work & Key Information Requested
The Army seeks information on vendors' capabilities to integrate AMMPS Kits. This involves fabricating or procuring mounting hardware, brackets, and cables, and installing these components along with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) according to the government's Technical Data Package (TDP). The final integrated system must be safely towable and meet military environmental durability requirements.
Respondents are requested to submit capability statements addressing:
- Company Overview: Including CAGE Code, UEI, Point of Contact, and company size under NAICS code 336212 (Truck Trailer Manufacturing).
- Past Performance & Experience: Specific examples of integrating electrical/mechanical systems into vehicle/trailer platforms, especially power generation equipment, within the last three years.
- Production and Integration Capabilities: Facility details, maximum monthly production capacity, storage, and shipping coordination.
- Programmatic Information: A Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate per system for integrating the PP-3106A (most complex) and PU-2001A (least complex) power plants. This estimate should include Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) and Recurring Per-Unit Production Costs for 50 units, along with potential cost savings and lead time assumptions.
- Engineering and Security: Engineering capabilities for mechanical/electrical integration, quality control processes, and facility security clearance.
Contract & Timeline
- Type: Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI)
- Set-Aside: None specified (market research for NAICS 336212)
- Response Due: May 13, 2026, at 3:30 PM EST
- Published: May 6, 2026 (Amendment 1)
- Place of Performance: Fort Belvoir, VA (though GFE will be delivered to vendor's facility)
