• Contractor vehicles are not permitted inside Montrose Park, Rose Park, or Meridian Hill Park; trash must be collected and brought to the edge of these parks for pick-up.

• Report any damaged or vandalized trash cans needing repair or replacement.

• Each trash container must be completely emptied within the scheduled timeframe, regardless of fullness.

• A new clear "trash bag" PVC liner must be used each time a container is emptied.

• General housekeeping duties around trash cans are required to maintain a clean and neat appearance.

• Litter is defined as any manmade material detracting from the park's visual quality (e.g., paper, plastic, metal, tires, household trash, glass, cans, food, pet waste, personal effects, yard waste, batteries, pipe, lumber).

• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Saturday-Sunday, 12:00 PM until completion (May through September).

• Vehicles must meet state regulations for safety and licensing, be in good operable condition, and meet local, state, and federal safety requirements.

• Personnel must present a neat appearance, be easily recognized, and possess current licenses for appropriate vehicles.

• Comply with all traffic laws, local, state, and federal regulations.

• Inclement weather: Refuse collection must continue unless exceptions are authorized. Missed collections must be made up within 24 hours after severe weather ends.

• High winds (over 75 mph): Delay collection until winds decrease below 30 mph. Make every effort to collect same day or by 10:00 AM the next duty day.

• No subcontracting without express written approval from the Contracting Officer (CO).

• Secure trash truck cargo to prevent debris from blowing or falling.

• Install a "Sharps" container on each trash truck for drug paraphernalia.

• Each trash truck must have a minimum crew of two.

• Trash hauling vehicles must be equipped with a back-up alarm, revolving light, and slow-moving vehicle symbol.

• Contractor is responsible for damage to Park property; restoration, replacement, or payment will be determined by the COR.

• Failure to perform services may result in deductions or contract termination.

• Invoices must include an acceptance report signed by the COR and copies of the work log.

• Invoices must be submitted through the Internet Payment Platform (IPP) System.

• Payment will be based on actual completed and accepted items at the specified price.

• Quality Control: Contractor must develop and maintain a quality control program to ensure refuse collection is performed to specifications, including procedures to track, identify, prevent, remedy, and ensure non-recurrence of defective services. A method to accept and resolve customer complaints must be provided.

• Quality Assurance: Government will evaluate performance through 100% inspections and periodic on-site inspections.

• Re-performance of Service: If service does not conform to contract requirements, the contractor shall perform or re-perform the service at no additional cost to the government, commencing immediately upon notification and completed that day or by noon the next work day.

• Contract period: One year from date of award, with an option for four additional 12-month periods.

• Work hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 Noon until completion (May through September).

• Federal Holidays are work days during May through September.
