Scope of Work
The contractor will provide vehicles with drivers to transport Sailors within the local Newport News area. Key routes include:
- GLAs to 41st, 50th, and 35th Street turnstiles.
- Turnstiles to government housing.
- Between 37th Street Parking Garage, 50th Street turnstile, Huntington Hall, Bank Building, Downtown Newport News Food, 41st St. turnstiles, 31st St. turnstiles, and Tricare Clinic Suffolk. Services require 15-passenger vans and/or charter/shuttle buses (up to 40 personnel). The contractor is responsible for all fuel, EZ-Pass for tolls, and parking fees. Vehicles must be air-conditioned, not more than five years old, and in sound mechanical condition. Drivers must be qualified, licensed, and adhere to hour restrictions. Normal operating hours are Monday-Friday 0500-1730, and Saturday, Sunday, Holidays 0500-0900.
