Scope of Sale

Sale Terms & Conditions
- Deposit: A 20% earnest deposit of the total proposal price is required from the successful contractor within five calendar days of award, payable via pay.gov. This deposit allows for material removal up to its value. Sierra Army Depot reserves the right to retain the deposit until all material is removed and paid for.
- Payment: Full payment is due prior to each removal, submitted through pay.gov.
- Removal: All property must be removed by September 30, 2026. The first removal must occur within seven business days of the Sales Agreement effective date. The contractor is responsible for safely securing the metal; SIAD may assist with loading using government-owned equipment operated by depot employees.
- Contractor Responsibilities: The contractor is responsible for all freight costs, shipping losses, and providing proof of removal (manifests, weight tickets, or bills of lading) to the SIAD Contract Point of Contact within three business days per removal.
- "All or Nothing" Sale: Bidders must be prepared to pay for and remove all awarded steel. Failure to comply will result in default fees and potential barring from future government sales.
