Scope of Work
The contractor will perform comprehensive refurbishment of eight steel stoplogs (two Type A, three Type B, three Type C) used for dewatering the lock. This includes blasting, painting, minor structural steel weld repairs, and the removal and replacement of all stoplog rollers, rubber seals, and associated hardware. Existing coatings are assumed to contain lead-based paint, requiring the contractor to manage waste generation. The new coating system will be a Vinyl type Zinc Rich Coating for Impacted Steel Structures, applied to SSPC-SP 5 White Metal Blast standard. GLS will handle the lowering/raising of stoplogs from the pit using their stationary stiffleg derrick.
