Solicitation

This solicitation is for the installation of a split system/back-up system (mini-split) for the Building 9 Server Room at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The project requires the installation of two separate air conditioning units: one primary 5-ton Daikin Split System (or equal) and one secondary Fujitsu Mini-Split (or equal) as a backup.

• Install one (1) 5-ton Daikin Split System (or equal) as the primary unit, including one 5-ton Air Handling Unit, one 5-ton DC6 Condensing Unit (capable of cooling in freezing temperatures), and one Daikin one-touch thermostat (or equal).

• Install required electrical connections from the panel to the ODU and AHU, and furnish required ductwork.

• Install one (1) 4-ton Fujitsu Mini-Split unit (or equal) as the secondary (backup) unit, including wall mounts, a 35-foot line set, communication line with a one-touch thermostat, and wall hangers for the outside condenser unit.

• Recover refrigerant from the old mini-split, remove the old mini-split and line set, and discard of the old unit.

• Contractor is responsible for verifying site conditions, protecting adjacent structures, and adhering to all OSHA and CVAMC safety regulations.

• Contractor personnel must check in with VA Police for badges and display badges at all times on VA property.

• Contractor must coordinate equipment shutdowns and secure area access with the COR.

• A minimum one (1) year warranty is required for all services and parts.

• Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Price.

• Period of Performance: 2 weeks, starting 10 days after Notice to Proceed.

• Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

• RFIs are due by June 4, 2026, 4:30 PM via email to Elizabeth.Wilson6@va.gov.

• VA will respond to RFIs via amendment on or about June 11, 2026.

• Quotes are due by June 4, 2026, 3:00 PM via electronic mail to Elizabeth.Wilson6@va.gov. Faxed quotes will not be accepted.

• Award will be made to the lowest proposed responsive, responsible offeror.
