- Design & Manufacturing: Must meet material, physical, mechanical, and test requirements specified on Drawing RE-C49502. Suppliers must have or fabricate required tooling for acceptance tests.
- Source Control: Urethane Elastomer (ADIPRENE L167) and Curative (ETHACURE 300) must be procured exclusively from LANXESS Urethane Systems, conforming to Drawing RE-B102260, Dash No.2.
- Marking: Permanent marking of AN/BRA-24 Seal Assemblies and specific component parts per MIL-STD-130 and drawing RE-C49502.
- First Article Testing/Inspection: Required, including submission of a Quality Inspection and Test Plan, First Article Testing/Inspection Procedure, and a First Article Testing/Inspection Report for Government approval prior to production.
- Quality Assurance: Supplier's Quality Inspection System must comply with MIL-I-45208 or ISO 9001 and NCSL Z540.3 or ISO 10012.
- Mercury Free: All materials must be free from metallic mercury and contamination, as intended for submarine/surface ship use. Written approval is required if mercury is a functional part.
- Objective Quality Evidence Records (OQEDs): Suppliers must maintain and furnish specific OQEDs as CDRLs, including Certified Mill Certificates, Certified Industrial Lab Analysis, Certificates of Compliance, Visual/Dimensional Inspection Reports, and Mercury Exclusion Certifications.
- Packaging: MIL-STD 2073 applies.
