This opportunity requires the provision of Bonnet assembly for size 1 1/2 inch globe valves in accordance with NAVSHIPS drawing 803-2177525, part number 803-2177525-C7XX-87. The material is classified as Special Emphasis Material (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured) due to its critical use in shipboard systems, where failure could lead to serious injury, loss of life, or loss of vital systems.
Key Requirements
- Material Certification: Quantitative chemical and mechanical analysis is required for parts like the Bonnet (piece 86), using materials such as ASTM-A105 or MIL-S-24093, type V, class H, with phosphate coating.
- Testing & Inspection: Dye Penetrant Inspection for hardfacing, mechanical properties testing (tension, hardness) for heat-treated materials. Thread inspection must follow FED-STD-H28 series or ASME B1 series.
