Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This PWS details the rehabilitation of Service Gate Stems No. 2 (Base Bid) and No. 5 (Bid Option) at the Cherry Creek Dam in Aurora, Colorado. The goal is to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of the intake service gates.

• Refurbish cylinder rods (gate stems) and automatic gate hanger cylinder rods by cleaning, removing mineral buildup and pitting, polishing, measuring, and re-chroming (gate hanger cylinders only) at the contractor's off-site facility.
• Lightly hone the inner wall of the cylinder to remove minor scoring.
• Clean and inspect piston rings and prepare an inspection report with photographs.
