Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force has released a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Repair of the Chilled Water System at Building 2280, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside construction-only contract, estimated to be more than $10,000,000. The procurement utilizes a Two-Step Sealed Bidding process. Step One Technical Proposals are due by June 8th, 2026, at 5:00 PM CST.

Scope of Work

The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all materials, labor, plant, tools, transportation, equipment, testing services, quality control, and incidentals required to repair the chilled water system. This includes identifying necessary logistical, architectural, and structural work elements, and providing any assemblies or apparatus not explicitly identified in project documents to ensure a complete, fully operating system. Work will occur in airfield operations and controlled/restricted areas, requiring specific coordination and FOD awareness training. Government-provided information (e.g., floor plans, utility locations) is approximate and requires field verification. Lead-based paint concerns have been identified, requiring trained workers for removal.
